Hammond Gavit Gladiators Varsity defeated Hammond 16-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Hammond Gavit Gladiators Varsity got things moving in the first inning. Ryan Peppers drove in two when Peppers homered.

Hammond Gavit Gladiators Varsity scored seven runs in the fourth inning. Hammond Gavit Gladiators Varsity put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Dwayne Washington, Jaime Mosqueda, Evan Blankman, and Jacob Stepek and singles by William Vukobratovich, Jose Tiscareno, and Nicholas Medrano.

One bright spot for Hammond was a single by C Blackman in the first inning.
